Brew blends have a 5-year shelf life. Hydration blends have a 2-year shelf life. After that, the product doesn't expire so much as gradually lose potency — the herbs just become less effective over time.

The date stamped on the bag is a Julian Date — a pack date, not a best-by date. Here's how to read it: the first three digits are the day of the year, and the last two are the year. So 261 20 = September 19, 2020. If you want to convert it quickly, just search "Julian date converter" and plug in the numbers.
